Humanity does not know how to cure its wounds

By on November 8, 2020

Why is humanity so in need of mercy? Because humanity is wounded, deeply wounded. Either it does not know how to cure its wounds or it believes that it’s not possible to cure them. Social ills or people wounded by poverty, social exclusion, or one of the many slaveries. Relativism wounds people too: all things seem equal, all things appear the same.
– Pope Francis, The Name of God Is Mercy
